West Thames College is very proud to announce that we are London’s Number 1 College for student achievement. Our position was confirmed in The National Achievement Rate Tables (NARTs), collated by the Department for Education which details the achievements of educational institutions across the country.
NARTs have shown that for the 2021-22 academic year, West Thames boasts an amazing achievement rate of over 90% for our 16-18-year olds, our 19+ students and for overall achievement for all students. This places us well above the national average and in pole position for London colleges.
As a College with a range of vocational programmes and an annual intake of 6,000+ students, we are incredibly proud of this accomplishment which truly reflects the exceptional hard-work and ongoing effort made by our entire staff and student body. Our mission is to inspire all of our students to fulfil their dreams and ambitions, and these results certainly reflect one of the ways in which we successfully do this.
“I am so immensely proud of what our students have achieved and not just in their vocational qualifications but in developing the skills they need to progress, helping to secure the very bright futures that lie ahead of them. However, none of this would be possible without the fantastic team of West Thames staff that go above and beyond to support each and every one of our students. It certainly makes me very proud to be the CEO/Principal of such an amazing college.” Tracy Aust, CEO and Principal
“I am proud to be part of a college that is helping so many people complete their studies successfully so that they can continue progressing and take the next steps in their lives. This is a very supportive college where I feel valued and part of a community that respects and looks after each another.”
Hilda Halada, Student and President of the Students’ Union at West Thames College
