
West Thames College, the Logistics Skills Alliance, the Institute of Couriers and HBC Logistics have been recognised for an innovative approach to apprenticeship delivery in the express logistics sector.
West Thames College and its partners are celebrating a major national education success after their collaborative apprenticeship programme was recognised with two awards at the 8th annual Education and Training Awards 2026.

West Thames College students showcased exceptional innovation, confidence and teamwork at the Transport for London (TfL) Innovate 2026 Hackathon Finale, achieving outstanding success and representing the College with pride.

Students, staff, families and friends came together this summer to celebrate the outstanding achievements of learners across the Arts and Media curriculum at the West Thames College Art, Media and Music Awards 2026.

West Thames College is proud to see Katrin Lehmann, Vice Principal for Inclusive Learning, Creative Industries and Student Experience, featured by the Association of Colleges (AoC), where she shares her perspective on why careers education should be a continuous part of every student's learning journey.
West Thames College has been granted a new 125-year lease for the De Brome Building in Feltham, securing the long-term future of its Skills + Logistics Centre from September 2026.
The new lease, granted by Hounslow Council, reinforces the College's commitment to providing high-quality technical and vocational education for local residents while supporting the borough's ambitions for skills development, regeneration and economic growth.
Commenting on the long-term lease, Marta Gajewska, CEO and Principal at West Thames College, said:
“This long-term commitment to Feltham marks an exciting new chapter for West Thames College. It enables us to invest in modern facilities, expand opportunities for young people and adult learners, and continue working closely with employers to develop the skilled workforce they need. Through our employer partnerships and industry engagement, we are creating clear pathways into employment and supporting the continued growth of the local economy."
Council Leader Shantanu Rajawat, added:
“The facility will continue to play a critical role in providing further education pathways for residents in Feltham and across the wider borough, including learners from disadvantaged and underrepresented groups.
“The proposal is expected to deliver positive equalities outcomes by improving progression opportunities and enhancing access to skills, training, and employment for local communities. This chimes directly with the Council’s objectives for a thriving, resilient local economy.”
