Tazneen Shafqat's journey from student to teacher at West Thames College is an inspiring testament to resilience and determination. Tazneen arrived in the UK at 13, facing significant language barriers. Through perseverance, she excelled in her Business BTEC course and later pursued the CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at the College.
“The CELTA course was an amazing experience, helping me gain confidence and teaching skills to support others in overcoming language challenges,” says Tazneen, now an ESOL teacher at the college.
