E-Learning Staff from West Thames College attended the Bett UK 2026 conference last week, reinforcing the College’s commitment to enhancing digital learning and improving outcomes for students. The leading education technology event took place at ExCeL London and brought together educators, EdTech providers and sector leaders from across the UK and internationally.
Jessica Blomefield, EdTech and E-Learning Co-ordinator and Tony Bhambra, e-Learning Development Manager, attended the conference that showcased innovative technologies, real-world case studies of digital transformation in education, and practical examples of how technology is being used to support teaching, learning and assessment.

For West Thames College students, insights gained from Bett UK have a direct educational impact. By staying up to date with emerging tools and best practice, the EdTech team can help introduce more engaging digital learning experiences, improve accessibility, and support a wider range of learning styles. Technologies explored at the event have the potential to enhance online and blended learning, streamline assessment and feedback, and better prepare students with the digital skills needed for further study and employment.
“We make a point of attending Bett to ensure we remain informed about developments in educational technology and identify tools and practices that could benefit our staff and students,” Blomefield said. “Ultimately, this helps us improve the learning experience and ensure our students are supported by modern, effective digital systems.”
Attendance at Bett UK also enables the college to build connections with other institutions and technology providers, helping West Thames College continue to innovate and respond to the evolving needs of its diverse student community.
