West Thames College is proud to announce that we have been named a finalist for The Careers & Enterprise Company Award for Excellence in Careers and Enterprise, sponsored by The Careers & Enterprise Company, at the 2024 AoC Beacon Awards. The announcement was made on 18 November at the AoC Annual Conference and shared across AoC’s national communications channels.
This recognition places West Thames College among the leading colleges in the UK for delivering high-quality, inclusive and innovative careers education. Our approach ensures that every student receives personalised, meaningful guidance that supports successful progression into employment, apprenticeships or further study.
Although we did not progress to finalist stage in the Bell Foundation Award for Excellence in ESOL, we are proud to have been named a commended college in this category. This commendation remains a significant achievement and reflects the strength, commitment and life-changing impact of our ESOL provision for newly arrived young people and learners with limited English.
Together, these acknowledgements highlight the college’s dedication to raising aspirations, providing transformative opportunities and supporting students as they build brighter futures.
