This one year course is held on a Wednesday daytime. It will give qualified/experienced hairdressers an insight into the barbering career path. You will learn techniques such as clipper work, scissor work, client consultation, cutting facial hair, blow drying and styling.

Entry Requirements
You should have completed the Introduction to Barbering course at West Thames College or be a hairdresser with experience / a qualified hairdresser. Acceptance for the course is by interview, which will be arranged on receipt of your application. Progression
If you are a fully qualified hairdresser you could progress to a Level 3 hairdressing course. An experienced hairdresser could gain Level 2 qualification in hairdressing. Or you can progress in a career in the barbering industry.

Assessment will include formal observations, assignments and test papers.
