ESOL Destination courses are for more advanced ESOL students and consist of both English (ESOL) and vocational study, leading to nationally recognised qualifications. You will study ESOL with Hair and Beauty at Level 1.

  • About the Course

    You will study:

    • Hairdressing skills
    • Health and safety
    • Beauty therapy
    • ESOL: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
  • Entry Requirements

    You do not need to have any previous qualifications in hairdressing or beauty therapy. You should have a pass at ESOL Entry 3 or equivalent. You will be interviewed before you enrol on the course, and you will have a written assessment to establish your level of language skills.   • Progression

    You will be encouraged to develop your own learning plans for the future and you will have the opportunity to get advice from careers advisers and other agencies. When you complete this course, you may wish to go on to further study leading towards Level 2 in Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy, following a successful application and interview.

  • Assessment Method

    Assessment is continuous throughout the course and you will build a portfolio of work leading to VTCT Level 1 in an Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector. You will also work towards Skills for Life English.
