West Thames College's Skills + Logistics Centre in Feltham came alive last week as students and staff celebrated Black History Month with an exciting lunchtime event filled with live music, delicious food and community spirit.
The celebration featured Leo from True Steel Band, who brought the vibrant sounds and infectious rhythms of Caribbean steel pan music to the college, creating an uplifting atmosphere that got everyone into the spirit of the occasion.
A special shout-out also goes to Hard Pattys – Feltham for the amazing patties! The fantastic flavours added a delicious taste of Caribbean food culture to the celebration and were a real highlight of the event.
Beyond the music and food, the event provided a valuable opportunity for students and staff to come together, celebrate Black heritage, appreciate different cultures and recognise the contributions of Black communities to our society.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended, supported and helped organise the celebration. Your enthusiasm and contributions helped make the event such a success!
At West Thames College we are proud to celebrate the diversity that brings us together and makes our community stronger.
