West Thames College students took part in the Student Takeover at the Opportunity Conference, putting their questions directly to a panel discussing the theme “Good Jobs, Not Just More Jobs”.
The session gave students a valuable opportunity to share their perspectives, engage in important conversations about employment and explore what makes a good job. By questioning the panel, they helped bring young people’s voices into discussions about the future of work and the opportunities available to them.
Daljit Bains, Assistant Principal – Partnerships and Business Development at West Thames College, said: “It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to share their views, engage in important discussions about employment and have their voices heard on issues shaping their future opportunities.”
The event provided a platform for students to express their views, build confidence and play an active role in discussions about creating meaningful employment opportunities.
