West Thames College welcomed local schools to take part in a basketball tournament at our Isleworth campus.

Year 10 and 11 students from the schools below took part:

  • Heathland School

  • Lampton School

  • Rivers Academy

  • Cranford Community College

The tournament was an exciting affair with points galore and end-to-end matches. The viewing audience certainly enjoyed the matches and who knows, they may have just witnessed the next Kobe or LeBron!

The tournament was organised by our own Chiedozie Offiah, who said “We had great turnout on the day. All the boys played with maximum effort and showed good sportsmanship between them, which was a credit to their PE teachers. The event wouldn’t have run as smoothly as it did if it wasn’t for the sports ambassadors, the enrichment staff, and the marketing team at the college - all-in-all, a real team effort!”

Lampton School were crowned the winners of the tournament – congratulations to them for their excellent performance.

We hope to see Lampton and the other schools return next year. Hopefully, West Thames College will have a (winning) team that participates in the tournament this time!
