This is for the makeup artist that is looking to progress and seek work within the T.V and film industry as a freelance working makeup artist. This course will refine your skills and extend upon your knowledge from previous levels. Additional skills studied are current trends, body painting and sfx as well as period hair and makeup. The course requires that you are able to research and submit work according to the set deadlines.

Makeup for editorial, and current fashion trends makeup. Costume. You will also collaborate with other student groups within the college on shows and other live performances

Entry Requirements
You should have a level 3 or equivalent qualification in makeup, or an art and design based qualification. For students who are over 19 years work and life experience will also be taken into consideration. A good standard of written English is also essential.

Progression
You may wish to progress to university, to work, or self employment. If successful you would progress onto L5 HND specialist makeup.

Assessment Method
This qualification consists of 3 units and is assessed through a final major project.
