This Level 1 course for adults is held in our workshops at the Skills + Logistics Centre in Feltham. It covers all aspects of carpentry and joinery alongside technical underpinning knowledge and health and safety requirements associated with the construction trade. The course provides a good basis for further study.
It is held on Fridays from 9:30am - 2:00pm.

About the Course
You will study:
- Timber framing
- Flooring
- Roofing
- Door hanging
- Staircases
- All first and second fittings.
The units are combined with technical underpinning knowledge related to the needs of the industry. You will also take a mandatory online health and safety test.

Entry Requirements
You will need to have at least Entry Level 3 in both English and maths. You will also have an interview.

Assessment Method
The course is assessed through a combination of practical assessments and the completion of learner workbooks.
