About the Course
The T-Level Transition Programme is a one-year course, ideal for students who are looking to progress onto the Level 3 T-Level technical qualification in Education and Early Years.
This programme will help you to develop a broad range of skills, knowledge and behaviours across the five aspects that you need for successful progression to T-Level Health:
- Industry-relevant technical knowledge and skills
- Knowledge and skills for the workplace
- Positive attitude and behaviours
- Skills for successful study
- English, maths and digital skills
To support the five areas above, the Transition programme components include:
- L2 Education and Early Years Qualification
- GCSEs in Maths and English
- Personal development and study skills project
- Work experience and work-related activities
- Digital skills
- Pastoral support
The Education and Early Years content of the course has been designed to provide students with the technical knowledge, skills and understanding essential for Education and Early Years sector and provide firm foundations for what will be covered in the T-Level Education and Early Years
Relevant and meaningful personal development and enrichment opportunities will support students to develop the study skills they will need for success on T Levels and the positive behaviours and key transferable skills for success in the workplace.
Work experience and work-related activities form an important element of the Foundation Programme as this will give students a broad introduction to their chosen T Level route through industry-relevant technical knowledge and practical skills.
You will continue working towards achieving a GCSE grade 4 in English and/or Maths if you do not already have this. You will also learn how to apply the English, Maths and digital skills that matter in the Education and Early Years sector.
Weekly tutorial sessions will provide responsive pastoral care; and develop knowledge and behaviours that promote wellbeing and support students' engagement with their learning on the programme

Entry Requirements
Entry Requirements: At Least 3 GCSE at grade 3 or above, including English and Maths.

Progression
Level 3 - T-Level Technical qualification in Education and Early Years

Assessment Method
Throughout the year you will be given written assignments for each unit and work placement reports. There will be an exam style assessment to development your examination skills as this will be the main assessment method on the Level 3- T-Level – Education and Early Years.

Sonali has worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for many years and has a wide range of experience in caring for children, teaching, professional training, and play-therapy roles.
Sonali is interested in care and emotional bonds and supporting emotional relationships of children in Early Years settings.
Sonali is a trained teacher with a degree in teaching in the UK and abroad with an experience of imparting a range of professional and learning related modules at the undergraduate level.
