This course covers full professional face and skin care treatment, facials, makeup, manicure and pedicure, anatomy and physiology and depilatory waxing of facial and body hair, lash and brow tinting, and eyebrow shaping.
You will take part in salon administration and reception duties.

You will study:
- Facial treatments, including cleanse, tone, massage and masks
- Selecting appropriate products for skin care
- Skin diseases and disorders
- Lash and brow tinting and shaping
- Light beauty makeup
- Manicure and pedicure including specialised hand and foot treatments
- Waxing
- Tanning
- Related anatomy and physiology, including bones, muscles, the cell, the circulatory system, the lymphatic system, the nails and hair
- Professional conduct
- Reception
- Stock display
- Health and safety.
You will be taught by practising professional tutors who specialise in beauty therapy.
Your tutor will monitor your progress throughout the year and deal with any problems that arise.

Entry Requirements
You should have a good general educational background with good written English. GCSE Biology is an advantage. You must be highly motivated and able to practice your treatments at home. We recommend that you spend at least 4 hours of home study per week in order to successfully achieve this qualification. Progression
Level 3 Beauty Therapy Treatments to become a fully qualified beauty therapist, or further part-time courses. To progress you will be interviewed and need a good level of attendance.
