Foundation Learning courses are for young people with few qualifications and designed to give you the skills to progress to Level 2.
You will study a variety of subjects such as exploring 2 dimensions, discovering 3 dimensions, drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media, creating surface relief, 3D design crafts and 3D design. You will create personal projects and study functional skills in English and maths.
This course is primarily aimed at school leavers and 16-18 year olds.

Progression
If you successfully complete all the modules, you can go on to Level 2 Art and Design or another Level 2 course.

Assessment Method
Assessment is through assignment based work. The emphasis is on practical work, although there is a certain amount of written work required.
