Uniformed Public Services

Study BTEC Uniformed Public Services courses at West Thames College to prepare for a job in one of the uniformed services, e.g. the fire service, paramedics, police or armed forces.

Our industry-experienced staff will teach you skills in team-building, problem-solving and self-discipline; plus, whilst studying your Uniformed Public Services course, you'll have access to our fully equipped fitness suite and brand new sports pitches.

Key Facts:

  • Students progress to jobs in the Metropolitan Police, Royal Marines, Fire Department, Parachute Regiment, UK Border Force, MI5, Youth Offending Teams or Ambulance Service as a paramedic.

  • Take part in residential trips and outdoor activities include scuba diving, camping, canoeing, orienteering, abseiling and climbing.
