West Thames College London

Supported learning

Our Supported Learning courses have very high success rates with good progression to mainstream courses. Supported Learning students benefit from small class sizes, work experience opportunities (e.g. with GlaxoSmithKline) and a varied and stimulating enrichment programme.

Our courses all designed for all abilities and will build confidence, independence, social and personal skills in a supportive environment.

Key Facts:

  • Residential trips to activity centres and local visits using public transport
  • Sensory room for students with complex and profound disabilities
  • Drama workshops to increase confidence and personal development
  • Students can run a coffee shop or play football in the Surrey LDD League – we recently won the UK LDD football league.

London Borough of Hounslow are holding a Project SEARCH Open Evening on Tuesday 9 May 2017 from 6-7.30pm at Hounslow Civic Centre, Lampton Road, TW3 4DN. For further information please contact Nicky Bitar, Business Liaison on 020 8583 6144/ 07884446918/

Supported Learning – Skills for Working Life

“I really enjoy the course, especially ICT, games and cooking. The teachers are really nice too. We get to go on lots of trips – we’ve been to Thorpe Park and to the Sky Skills Studio where we learned all about reporting. It was incredible!”
