West Thames College London

College for school pupils aged 14-16 years

Sometimes the way to learn is to do.

Our aim is to help young people to grow. We recognise that different students need different approaches to realise their potential. Our new programme is designed for those 14-16 year olds who learn best through doing practical activities, whilst at the same time studying core GCSE subjects.

The 14-16 programme:

  • Will teach students valuable practical skills, keeping them interested and motivated. We will channel their energy into both vocational and academic subjects.
  • Students will complete GCSEs in English, maths, science and other core subjects, so that at the end of the course they can either start a higher vocational course, start an apprenticeship or A Levels.
  • College staff will work with parents to ensure their child is fully supported and thrives in the college environment.
