Many of us find ourselves in situations where we have to plan, guide and manage a group event to ensure that the group's objectives are met effectively – maybe as they make a difficult or complex decision – with clear thinking, good participation and full buy-in from everyone who is involved. Often, the people involved may be colleagues, clients or more senior staff. We can risk upsetting or alienating them if we do it poorly. Knowing how to facilitate discussion, move the process forward and influence people without taking sides, and having the confidence and skills to help people to choose an option, are all key skills requiring knowledge and practice.
This short intensive programme will highlight the key issues and provide tools for you to influence and facilitate clients and colleagues successfully.
Anyone who has regular contact with other people at work.
You will understand what affects people's behaviours, how to facilitate them through complex decision processes and what skills to use to influence them.
