Emergency First Aid

Outline

A one day course to train a nominated person who will take charge in the event of illness or accident, when a fully qualified First Aider is not mandatory. First Aiders, can benefit from this additional support.

Delegates Receive

Laminated A5 & wallet sized (HSE approved) certificate valid for 3 years.
Nigel Baraclough’s “Emergency First Aid Made Easy” A5 Colour First Aid Manual.

Suitable for

Low-risk workplaces as the minimum training as stated in the ACOP L74.

What this programme covers

HSE Regulations, record keeping, personal hygiene, kits & cross infection risks.

Care of the unconscious casualty: Basic Life Support.

Recognition & treatment of:

  • Shock & Fainting
  • Heart Conditions
  • Stroke
  • Adult Seizures/ Fits
  • Diabetes
  • Severe Bleeding & Burns
  • Fractures, Dislocations, Strains & Sprains.
